Michael Mennenga
camp director
For more than 25 seasons, “Coach Mike” has built a career as one of the most respected coaches, recruiters, and player development specialists in NCAA basketball. Leading programs to more than 500 victories, NCAA tournament success, and coached 15 NBA players.
However, his greatest passion has always extended beyond wins and championships. For more than 20 years, he has been deeply committed to the growth of Canada Basketball. Long before Canada emerged as one of the world’s premier basketball nations, Coach Mike recognized the incredible talent, work ethic, and potential of Canadian student-athletes. Since then, he has dedicated himself to building meaningful relationships with players, families, grassroots organizations, and basketball leaders coast to coast.
Throughout his career, Michael has helped hundreds of Canadian student-athletes navigate the recruiting process and pursue opportunities to compete at all levels. His commitment to Canada Basketball has never been transactional—it has been personal. Built on trust, relationships, and a genuine belief in the future of Canadian basketball, Coach Mike has become a respected advocate for the country’s athletes and basketball community.
That lifelong commitment played into the creation of 4 The Future.
